Excerpt from Life Histories of North American Gallinaceous Birds: Orders Galliformes and ColumbiformesThis is the ninth in a series of bulletins of the United States National Museum on the life histories of North American birds. Previous numbers have been issued as follows:107. Life Histories of North American Diving Birds, August 1, 1919.113. Life Histories of North American Gulls and Terns, August 27, 1921.121. Life Histories of North American Petrels and Pelicans and their Allies, October 19, 1922.126. Life Histories of North American Wild Fowl (part), May 25, 1923.130. Life Histories of North American Wild Fowl (part), June 27, 1925.135. Life Histories of North American Marsh Birds, March 11, 1927.142. Life Histories of North American Shore Birds (pt.1), December 31, 1927. 146. Life Histories of North American Shore Birds (pt.2), March 24, 1929.The same general plan has been followed, as explained in previous bulletins, and the same sources of information have been utilized. The nomenclature of the new Check List of the American Ornithologists' Union has been followed, but it has seemed best to continue in the same order of arrangement of families and species as given in the old (1910) check list. This is the first group in which any considerable number of subspecies have had to be treated. An attempt has been made to give as full a life history as possible of the best-known subspecies and to avoid duplication by writing briefly of the others and giving only the characters of the subspecies, its range, and any habits peculiar to it. In many cases certain habits, probably common to the species as a whole, have been recorded for only one subspecies; such habits are mentioned under the subspecies on which the observations were made. The distribution gives the range of the species as a whole, with only rough outlines of the ranges of the subspecies, which can not be accurately defined in many cases. The egg dates are the condensed results of a mass of records taken from the data in a large number of the best egg collections in the country, as well as from contributed field notes and from a few published sources.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. It have never crossed my mind that I could write my plan for my career. This book has really open my mind about job searching and I won't be just blindly looking around on the job portal - with no goal and target. The write-out is clear and straight to the point. So it makes this guide easy to understand too. Good book I would say.

But I liked this book because it tells you how to develop a unique selling position for your personal brand, which I found helpful and original. It's easy to forget the special skills you have that other people don't, and that's what sets you apart from other job-seekers in the marketplace. But it also gives you the basics: how to ace an interview, how to research a company, how to develop your network.Well-written and extremely informative. This book has inspired me. I'm going to build a personal brand and start my job search today!

I discovered some years ago how much difference it makes how you present yourself and your resume, and how much you can search for jobs when I attended a career and job interview workshop. One of my brothers even competed with men who had been in the business of specific fields for years, just because he was so good at presenting himself. This book is definitely worth the read. It points out various useful strategies to get better jobs.

Although pets existed in Europe long before the eighteenth century, the dominant belief was that pet keeping was at best frivolous and at worst downright dangerous. In Animal Companions, Ingrid Tague explores the eighteenth-century conversation about the presence of pets in British society and the ways in which that conversation both reflected and shaped broader cultural debates. Tague argues that pets, as neither human nor fully part of the natural world, offered a unique way for Britons of the eighteenth century to articulate what it meant to be human and what their society ought to look like.

Having emerged from the Malthusian cycle of dearth and famine at the end of the seventeenth century, England became the wealthiest nation in Europe, with unprecedented access to consumer goods of all kinds. And closely connected with these material changes was the Enlightenment, with its implications for contemporary understanding of religion, science, and non-European cultures. All these transformations generated both excitement and anxiety, and they were reflected in debates over the rights and wrongs of human-animal relationships. Looking at a wide variety of texts, Tague shows how pets became both increasingly visible indicators of spreading prosperity and catalysts for debates about the morality of the radically different society emerging in this period.

Animal Companions: Pets and Social Change in Eighteenth-Century Britain (Animalibus: Of Animals and Cultures), by Ingrid H. Tague

Review

“Ingrid Tague’s Animal Companions helps us understand the extraordinary innovation entailed in the rise of pet keeping in eighteenth-century England. Tague shows how, rather suddenly, the widespread acceptance of relationships of intimacy between human and nonhuman animals shaped political, social, and intellectual views and debates. The rise of pet keeping brought abstract Enlightenment questions into the realm of concrete debate—around the nature of the human, the concepts of ownership and slavery, relationships of affection and alterity, and the exercise of humanitarianism and the ideal of harmony. Tague’s book gives us new insights into the role of human-animal relationships in defining key questions about the human.”

—Laura Brown, Cornell University

“It would surprise many in our pet-centered world to know that keeping pets was once considered a highly suspect practice, a wasteful, sinful overvaluing of animals that threatened individual and national character. Ingrid Tague’s history of pet keeping in eighteenth-century England illustrates how it evolved, by century’s end, into a broadly accepted, even ‘natural’ part of everyday human life. Populated by memorable characters, both human and animal, and characterized by admirable scholarship and insightful analysis, this wide-ranging and densely detailed historical study investigates how pets functioned as important vehicles in some of the most vexed debates of the day concerning consumption, fashion, morality, sensibility, slavery, gender, and social class.”

—Karen Raber, University of Mississippi

“Ingrid Tague’s study contributes to the animalizing of social history since the Enlightenment. During the eighteenth century, global commerce, slavery, and empire made pet keeping newly possible for many people on both sides of the Atlantic. At the same time, Enlightenment ideas and the rise of commercial and consumer society fuelled new desires for the companionship of domestic animals. Pets ceased to be marginal and became central. Analyzing the entanglements of pets with class, gender, and slavery, but also fashion, frivolity, and property, Tague illuminates how eighteenth-century Britons and their colonial counterparts had recourse to animals for thinking through the most searching questions of their time.”

—Donna Landry, University of Kent

“Ingrid Tague’s well-documented and clearly written Animal Companions: Pets and Social Change in Eighteenth-Century Britain, the first systematic treatment of pet keeping in Enlightenment Britain, traces the evolution of affection toward domestic animals from the beginning of the century, when pet keeping was stigmatized as a waste of human resources and feelings, to the end of the period, when compassion for animals was seen as a necessary sign of genuine humanness. The discussion of the relation between pet keeping and racial theory during the Enlightenment is of particular interest.”

—Matthew Senior, Oberlin College

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A serious but quite readable study on the origins of the movement to treat pets and other animals humanely. By lyndonbrecht As another review has noted, this is an academic study but one that is accessible. Tague's writing is good. Some of the text is a bit academic, in the sense of reviewing the literature (that is, discussing what other academic studies have concluded about the topic). The book is nicely illustrated, and the illustrations are thoroughly discussed and important in her argument. The general reader is likely to most like chapters 1 and 5. Chapter 1, "The Material Conditions of Pet Keeping" looks at what pets were available, who possessed them and more. Relevant is the increasing scope of the British empire as the 1700s wore on, with a wider and wider selection and number of creatures brought to the island. The focus is London. Chapter 5, "Pets and Their People" is the best in the book. Much of the chapter discusses four specific people and their attitudes towards pets. These are Lady Wentworth, an aging aristocrat who frequently discussed her many pets over twenty years of letters; Gilbert White (of Selborne) comments on his tortoise Timothy; Thomas Cowper (the poet) writing about his pets; and Horace Walpole (an extremely important political figure, never married and noted for his affection to cats and dogs).Tague covers a lot of things relevant to the rise of sympathy for animals. Among other things she discusses is the debate about whether pets were good or bad, in that they consumed food the poor could have eaten, and whether useless animals were moral--working dogs were approved but lap dogs were often scorned. Another line of controversy was whether the poor should have pets because it took money away from basic sustenance (and was evidence perhaps that poverty was its own fault). In a fascinating discussion (very well illustrated) she considers the connection between pets, luxury and misogyny, and how pets and fashion were seen as unmasculine--I'm not sure how else to put it, but my comments don't do justice to Tague's excellent analysis. There's another important thread in the book--the connection between slavery and ownership of animals. Slaves could be pets of a sort, too, but the evolving sentiment that animals should be treated humanely fitted uneasily with how humans were enslaved--calling for regulations to force better treatment of animals had an implied critique of how enslaved people were treated. There was also a class dimension, in that regulating treatment of animals was aimed at recreations of the poor such as bull-baiting.I found a couple of things fascinating. She discusses the French naturalist Le Vaillant, who explored South Africa in the 1780s, and had a pet baboon named Kees, a wildly funny (to me, anyway) relationship. I also had never heard of a "bird organ," a small barrel organ aimed at teaching birds to sing. A French invention, it apparently was widely available in the 1750- 1850 era.Overall, this is a study of the complicated origins of the sentiment to treat animals humanely.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. a scholarly work that's also a very good read. If you've had pets By Pete This is unusual, a scholarly work that's also a very good read. If you've had pets, have pets, or are thinking about getting a pet, this book's for you.Tague indulges in a sly sense of humor and you'll find yourself laughing out loud in unexpected places.

Did Paul teach that Jesus was divine and should be worshiped as such? How should this be viewed in relation to Jewish and Jewish-Christian monotheism? The debate over these and related questions has been raging in academic circles -- but it also has profound implications for church practice. In this book Chris Tilling offers a fresh contribution to the long-running debate on whether or not Paul’s Christology is divine. Refocusing the debate on the exegetical data and reengaging more broadly with the sweep of themes in Paul’s letters, Tilling’s innovative contribution is one that cannot be ignored.

Paul's Divine Christology, by Chris Tilling

Review N. T. Wright "The case for an early high Christology has recently been made from many convergent angles. Here Chris Tilling adds a fresh and important element — that the relationship between the Christian and Christ was seen by Paul on the model of that between Israel and God."Michael J. Gorman "An innovative, perceptive, and highly significant account of the apostle Paul's understanding of Christ's divine status as it is discerned in his relation to believers within the church. Chris Tilling's book is a must-read for all interested in Paul's Christology and in its inseparable connection to Christian community."Richard Bauckham "Tilling achieves a major advance in the task of rediscovering the full significance of Paul's Christology. He joins other scholars who have recently been arguing that Paul sees Jesus Christ as truly divine, and he adds a very fruitful fresh perspective, focusing on the way believers relate to the living Christ as divine."Stephen E. Fowl "Dramatically advances the discussion of Pauline Christology. Tilling's control of ancient sources allows him to correct several significant misunderstandings and misperceptions regarding Paul's claims about Christ. . . . His keen analysis of long-standing scholarly problems moves several sterile debates in new and promising directions."Michael F. Bird "Masterful. . . . Tilling effectively opens up a new line of inquiry into early devotion to Jesus, beyond stalled debates about identity and function, and sets forth a new paradigm where Jesus' nature and activity relate to believers the same way as YHWH related to the Israelites. An erudite and learned volume on one of the most contested areas of New Testament studies."Trinity Journal "Tilling has provided one of those rare works that tackles an impossibly large and difficult problem regarding Christian origins and has offered an hypothesis that is sure to engage all those who continue to wrestle with Pauline Christology."The Bible Today “The author’s purpose and guiding question throughout this study is whether Paul considered Christ to be divine, or put another way, whether Pauline Christology is a ‘divine Christology.’ . . . Tilling makes a compelling case for his ‘relational’ approach to the issue, and his affirmation of this dimension of Paul’s Christology is a genuine contribution.”

22 of 23 people found the following review helpful. The Best Defense To Date By Johnny Walker It is no overstatement to claim that Christology is central to Christian theology and identity. Indeed, insofar as that the claim is uninteresting and banal, and it is, it attests to its truth. Of course, to agree upon the primacy of Christology is a minor achievement. The truly interesting question is the content of that Christology. Surely enough, it is the question of content that awoke some of the greatest theological minds of the church's history. One must say no more than Athanasius to demonstrate that point. While at Nicea the church came to agreement upon the necessary boundaries of any orthodox Christology, and later at Chalcedon she sought further clarification and precision (though it may be questioned whether that was accomplished), Christology has remained a live question. As is known, controversy continued, thus, the monophysites and the monothelitism/dyothelitism debate. Yet, it wasn't until the Enlightenment that external forces began challenging traditional Christian claims. Most notably, historical-critical scholars, going straight to the heart of the matter, contested whether Jesus of Nazareth was anything like the Christ of Christ faith. The New Testament's lofty claims were met with severe suspicion. This suspicion has continued, challenging not only the congruency of the historical Jesus with the Christian confession, but also the "orthodoxy" of the New Testament itself. Namely, do the church's creeds have any grounding in her Scriptures. This is no more contested than in the area of Paul's Christology. Being that Paul's writings account for nearly half of the New Testament, it is a very significant question to ask whether the Nicene church has truly embodied, even at a reduced level, Paul's Christology. Though I have stated the matter in a more ecclesially concerned manner, it is largely this question occupying Chris Tilling's 2012 monograph, Paul's Divine Christology. As is obvious from the title, Tilling's response is in the affirmative, yet it is not without labor that he gets there. He contends with the leading scholars in the field, both those for and against a divine Christology in Paul, supplying a truly innovative and persuasive case that affirms Paul's Christ as divine. Thus, he roundly critiques Dunn and Casey for their negligence in attending to the vast majority of Pauline data, while challenging Fee, Bauckham, and Hurtado (while appropriating and strengthening them) for their similarly narrow schemes.Tilling's approach can be stated rather simply. He aims to bring as much of the Pauline data as possible to bear on his question, contending that what we find in Paul is a pattern that leads to the conclusion of Christ as divine. This pattern is particularly important for Tilling because he claims that Paul himself would have recognized it (thus, it does not suffer from severe anachronism). So what is the pattern? It is what he terms the Christ-relation. The Christ-relation is precisely the relationship between Christ and his church. This relation, according to Tilling's construal, is parallel with another very significant relation: the God-relation. Namely, the pattern of relationship between YHWH and Israel. A relationship that Tilling claims was relatively stable through 2nd Temple literature. This arguably just the right way to go about arguing for a contextually appropriate divine Christology. For, as has been well documented, Jewish monotheism was a relational monotheism that had less to do with ontology and more to do with allegiance. Likewise, in that it is a pattern, it allows for a certain degree of spottiness in the data, which should be expected in light of our sources. Paul's Christ-relation need not be identical to God-relation (how could it, being that the God-relation is not firmly set?), rather, it must only show a deep compatibility. A major portion of his work is demonstrating just this compatibility. It is for the reader to decide, yet, the evidence Tilling marshals is highly persuasive. This is especially the case when he treats the classic "problem texts" for high christologies. For example, in assessing the Similitudes of Enoch, Tilling is able to spin the matter around and argue compellingly that if Paul had access to this text, his Christ language was not dictated by the the Enochic Son of Man, but by the Enochic YHWH! This same reversal is demonstrated in Sirach and the Life of Adam and Eve with equal force.Tilling's defense of a divine Christology in Paul is the sharpest to date. He builds off the work of Hurtado, Bauckham, and Fee, while strengthening their individual arguments by filling crucial lacunae in their work. Similarly, he confronts the strongest opponents in such a way that avoids endless debates over exegetical minutia. The sheer range of data discussed and included will make any formidable critique a colossally demanding effort.Any future work of Christology will ignore Tilling's argument to its own peril.NOTE: This book was provided free of charge in exchange for an honest review.

The Premier Book on Paul's Christology By Nick Norelli This published version of Chris Tilling's doctoral thesis written under the supervision of Max Turner is perhaps the most important work in the field of Pauline studies to have come along in the last 30 years. In Paul's Divine Christology Chris Tilling explores the entirety of Paul's undisputed letters (rather than myopically focusing on a few "key" texts) and discerns a pattern that Paul himself would have arguably recognized; namely the relational pattern of the risen Christ to believers, which has as it's only analogy the relationship between the God of Israel and his covenant people. This volume is intelligently written; persuasively argued; full of responsible exegesis; and truly an original and seminal contribution to its field. Scholars engaging in a study of Paul's Christology will not be able to be taken seriously unless they have interacted with Tilling's work. If Amazon allowed 10 star ratings this book would have received it!

By John Moore Tilling tackles one of the thorniest problems in earliest Christianity - whether or not Paul thought Jesus to be fully God.Many liberal scholars argue that Second Temple Judaism had a strata of Gods. The liberal Ehrman recently insisted Paul regarded Jesus as something akin to an angel, a second class God clearly inferior to YHWH himself.Tilling, who by the way appears to have read every single document ever written on the issue, refutes such arguments by veering into an uncharted area. Hurtado, of course, pointed out that Paul rewrote the Shema to include Jesus, which I have always though the strongest case. But Tilling has come up with an entirely new argument, and it may just be a game changer. He studies the manner in which Paul relates Jesus to YHWH, proving that Paul regarded Jesus as he did YHWH.So, Paul relates to Christ in the same way he relates to YHWH, but also he "contrasts idolatry against commitment to Christ" (p 101).Tilling point out that "Paul having opened his argument in a way that expresses true faith in the one God as their relational commitment of believers to this God over idolatry goes on to speak explicitly and continually of the relation between risen Lord and believers over against idolatry...He details this Christ-relation with the terms and categories drawn from the complex of themes and categories drawn from the complex of themes and concepts that, in the Jewish scriptures describe the relation between Israel and YHWH over against idolatry" (p 76).He finds that "Precisely in a context that contrasts the monotheistic 'knowledge' of the Corinthians with the relational 'necessary' monotheistic knowing of love for God, Paul includes Christ directly in this relational dynamic, and does so by employing a text in Deuteronomy that was central to the daily prayer life of Jews and to the relationship between YHWH and Israel" (p 91).

I have had many texts books and manuals along the way. Never have I seen such a complete work. This text book, and the accompanying workbook, is a must have for everyone who ever may work a crime scene. The workbook is great for training, either self training practicals, or as a group or class room setting. Every department and agency in the United States should have a few copies of this book. This is a great step toward national crime scene standardization.

I bought it after a seminar Everett conducted for the State Bar Association at the annual Forensic Academy. This is a real textbook not a casual read and certainly not television wizbang. It is for the serious minded, whether experienced prosecutor, criminal defense lawyer or budding crime scene investigator.

Although this has major implications for the development of this structure as well as its origin and evolution, it is barely mentioned in the long chapter on this system. This is despite the limb's being the main research specialty of the authors. It makes you wonder about the rest.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Finding your Way in the Desolation Wilderness By Fritz R. Ward North of Sonora Pass, the Sierra Nevada Mountains take a decidedly vulcanic turn. The intrusive igneous rock that characterized the range in the high Sierra is now often covered by Basalt outcroppings. Until, that is, you reach the Desolation Wilderness where the look and feel of the High Sierra suddenly reappears, but at a much lower elevation and within easy access of thousands of people. No wonder the Desolation Wilderness is the most heavily used designated Wilderness Area in California. A quick way to find and access the best trails in the region is to use this Harrison map, printed on waterproof plastic.Like other Harrison maps, this one uses green shading for forested regions and white for areas above timber line. Trails are in red, with the triple duty Pacific Crest Trail (PCT)/Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT)/Tahoe Yosemite Trail (TYT) clearly highlighted and delineated. Point by point mileage and a detailed contour interval of 40 feet make this map easy to use. Fans of GPS units will find the UTM coordinates helpful, but anyone familiar with reading a topo will hardly need one. This map in particular is so detailed that even cross country routing is easy. Which is a good thing, because beautiful as this area is, solitude is not commonly found and you may want to explore a little off trail to obtain it.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Perfect for planning out that backcountry adventure! By Gunny The Tom Harrison maps each cover a lot of area and are perfect for planning your backcountry trips. Because of the large areas they cover the detail isn't very close-up so definitely not good for backcountry route finding if doing anything above class 1. If needing a map to navigate by when going cross country then get a USGS map which won't cover as much area but has much better detail. They do work well in conjuction with my gps if I stay on trail though which reduces the # of maps I have to take with me and less is always a good thing when it comes to my backpack weight. They are also waterproof which is pretty much a necessity in my opinion. Very happy with this purchase for what I use it for...trip planning.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. odd scale, wonderful execution By P. Karpenko The scale of this map falls in between the 7.5 and 15 minute maps, rendering some mapping tools useless, but unlike the USGS maps this one has UTM grid lines plotted, is waterproof and tear resistant. The material looks like treated paper but is said to be plastic; to me the difference is a mere technicality. Because of the odd scale the map may not be perfect for those who rely entirely on a map and compass, but for ones who add a simple GPS unit the map is perfect.

Of its 87 pages of text, 20 pages are particularly significant and extremely worthwhile: Chapter 9 on "The Finitude of the Universe" and Chapter 10 "Relation to Philosophy." Other than these, the book is largely a very sparse treatment of the conceptual fallout (aka interesting consequences) of Einstein's theory of relativity. I can't say that anything in the book is all that well explicated, but those aforementioned chapters are handled much better than the others. Much of what is found in this book will either be covered by philosophy of physics texts (introductory, even) that deal with relativity in any capacity, and any technical modern physics text (e.g., Thornton and Rex's). I did enjoy Schlick suggestion that we consider expanding shells of light, rather than linear light rays; but, still, Schlick's treatment was all too sparing.Overall, I'd say philosophers of physics and philosophers of science will be interested in chapters 9 and 10. The book, as a whole, being considerably dated, might be useful to a historian of science. I also think that parts of the work may interest a physicist seeking a deeper conceptual exploration than is found in the typical physics text, but that is still familiar to the physicist in its construction. I recommend this book, but definitely not strongly, only really suggesting that philosophers of physics give it a quick skim for interesting points and take a look at chapters 9 and 10. It's short enough that I have to give it four stars, being that it is worth a lunch-break's read.

Discover how to use Rust to write fast, secure, and concurrent systems and applications

About This Book

  • Learn how to create secure and blazingly fast programs in Rust
  • Start working with Rust in a multicore and distributed environment
  • Explore the core characteristics of Rust - safety, performance, and concurrency - to build error free and robust code

Who This Book Is For

This book is intended for software developers interested in systems level and application programming, and are looking for a quick entry into using Rust and understanding the core features of the framework. It is assumed that you have a basic understanding of Java, C#, Ruby, Python or JavaScript.

What You Will Learn

  • Set up your Rust environment for maximum productivity
  • Bridge the performance gap between safe and unsafe languages with Rust
  • Use pattern matching to create flexible code
  • Apply generics and traits to develop widely applicable code
  • Organize your code in modules and crates
  • Build macros to extend Rust's capabilities and reach
  • Apply threads to tackle problems concurrently and in distributed environments
  • Interface with C and isolate unsafe code

In Detail

Starting by comparing Rust with other programming languages, this book will show you where and how to use Rust. It will discuss primitive types along with variables and their scope, binding and casting, simple functions, and ways to control execution flow in a program.

Next, the book covers flexible arrays, vectors, tuples, enums, and structs. You will then generalize the code with higher-order functions and generics applying it to closures, iterators, consumers, and so on. Memory safety is ensured by the compiler by using references, pointers, boxes, reference counting, and atomic reference counting. You will learn how to build macros and crates and discover concurrency for multicore execution.

By the end of this book, you will have successfully migrated to using Rust and will be able to use it as your main programming language.

Symmonds I did not buy this book on Amazon, but purchased it as an ebook directly on the Packt Publishing web site. I purchased it using a discount coupon for only $5.00 and I am very happy I only spent that.Everything in this book can be found on the Rust web site. The author apparently recognizes this as he consistently states "more information can be found by going to..." with a URL to the Rust language reference annotating his topic. However if I am being redirected to the web site, why do I need your book? The book itself is poorly written, and very short touching lightly on each subject matter. The whole project appears to have been rushed to take advantage of the Rust 1.0 release. In one of the first chapters on variables there is a section explaining the difference between immutable and mutable variables which I believe to be critical to a proper understanding of Rust. A few short sentences and light example is given before the author dives within the same section to varible type casting. Another section on attributes is given a few short sentences with some semblance of an explanation, and then the reader is again redirected to the Rust web site. This constant swift treatment with a reference to the Rust site is rampant throughout the entire book making the whole thing appear to have been thrown together at the last minute. I gave up reading halfway through the book, and returned back to the Rust documentation on the Rust web site (as the author suggests).I do not believe this book will offer anyone new to Rust a thorough introduction to the language. If anything it is nothing more than a pamphlet giving a brief explanation of the features of Rust. Save your money and just read the Rust site documentation. That is what the author wants you to do anyway.

Coming from a work background of C/C++ I found this book accessible and concise. It is one of the few programming books I've actually worked completely through. I now feel very competent at programming in Rust.I purchased the paper copy of this book and I paid to view the book via Amazon's Kindle software. I felt that the book had a lot of value for its price. The paper copy was of reasonably good quality, and felt average in material durability.I would have given this book five stars if not for the following issues:* I felt the exercises were often weak and not very engaging* Some of the code examples were limited* The concurrency chapter could have used a lot more content* Lack of real networking contentUltimately this is a very good book that will help getting newbies into Rust, despite some flaws. The biggest takeaway from it was how much I enjoyed reading it and that it continued to engage me.
