About the Author
AMIT GOSWAMI, Ph. D., is a retired professor of theoretical physics at the University of Oregon. He is a pioneer of the new paradigm of science called “science within consciousness.” In his seminal book, The Self-Aware Universe, he solved the quantum measurement problem elucidating the famous observer effect while paving the path to a new paradigm of science based on the primacy of consciousness. He is the author of nine books, including the textbook Quantum Mechanics, Physics of the Soul, Quantum Doctor, God is Not Dead, and How Quantum Activism Can Save Civilization. Quantum Economics Prooves Profit Motive and Social Good Are Intertwined By James Alvino, PhD Adam Smith – the father of capitalism – would be very happy right now if he were able to read the intriguing and revolutionary new book by Dr. Amit Goswami, Quantum Economics: Unleashing the Power of an Economics of Consciousness. Business in the world of consciousness By Grady Harp Oregon author Amit Goswami, a retired professor of theoretical physics at the University of Oregon, pioneers the new paradigm of science called “science within consciousness.” He is the author of nine important books including the textbook Quantum Mechanics, Physics of the Soul, Quantum Doctor, God is Not Dead, and How Quantum Activism Can Save Civilization. He appeared in the films What the Bleep Do We Know, The Dalai Lama Renaissance, and the award-winning The Quantum Activist.Reading, or rather digesting, this book is an act of enlightenment. An attempt to review it seems to deprive the reader of the gradual immersion in Dr Goswami’s theories. But as a start we should remind ourselves of the meaning of quantum – and thanks to the resources of Wikipedia the term is defined as follows: ‘In physics, a quantum is the minimum amount of any physical entity involved in an interaction. Behind this, one finds the fundamental notion that a physical property may be "quantized," referred to as "the hypothesis of quantization". This means that the magnitude can take on only certain discrete values.’ And how does this relate to economics?The summary of the book’s content acts as a doorway: ‘In view of the recent meltdown of the economy that gave rise to the great recession, it is pretty obvious that the current economic systems are not working.
