By Jean Mc Donald It's to the point, easy to read, and the author reveals facts about what the British did and did not do to cause the death of so many. I don't remember some of the details from earlier history classes. We traveled in Ireland this summer, and the area where the famine occurred is absolutely beautiful. It was a sobering experience to read about details not provided by the tour director.
