I always wanted to know how to grow my own vegetable and herb garden. This guide has all that is needed to get it going, including soil and fertilizer selection. All in all an excellent source.

There are no pictures, it has bad grammar, and it really didn't give me any information other than a bug spray recipe that I might use! If the author is trying to sell a book on indoor gardening, then she better be able to prove that she is successful at it herself by showing some of her own pictures of her success stories! Just telling people to grow tomatoes inside does not cut it for me, anyone could have assumed you need light, a pot of dirt and a plant to grow a tomato, but let us see the proof of her successes!

The most annoying feature is that once engaged in a search, it is not possible to return to a previous location without starting the search all over again. The "back arrow" takes you all the way back to the cover of the book. Also, the "Go To" feature on the menu gives you a number pad so that you must enter the number of the page you want, not the title of the feature,such as "Table of Contents."

Just what I was looking for By e-kitab I am pleased to give five stars to a resource that contains all the features I find useful in a light, compact, and comprehensive companion for Hebrew and Greek Bible reading, as far as is possible on a basic Kindle e-reader. The similar titles I purchased and used before this one became available had serious flaws, such as poor navigation, missing entries, and/or more-or-less sloppy layout. There are other titles that specialize in only the New Testament, which have similar convenient navigation and features, and these made me wish for a resource like this one.Here are some important points to note:- This not only contains a neatly arranged electronic edition of James Strong's original work (a classic, though with its limitations), but also the entries from the so-called "Enhanced Strong's Lexicon" (by Woodside Bible Fellowship of Ontario) that appears in many Bible software suites, often under other elusive names, but with the same entries. These glosses/definitions are drawn from sources more recent and comprehensive sources than that of Strong's (Brown-Driver-Briggs and Thayer, with improvements). Combined with the convenience of Strong's concordance, this is definitely an upgrade over a printed concordance, once you are comfortable with Kindle navigation.- I find it very easy and convenient to navigate, at least on my Kindle. I am able to navigate between books, chapters, and verses as easily as I can on any other well-designed resource. (It could be, too, that I am using an up-to-date edition of the resource).- This is not just for people who prefer the King James Version over other translations, or vice versa. If you have a basic knowledge of Hebrew and Greek, using classic resources and comparing them to modern ones is a valuable exercise in critical thinking, and sharpening one's proficiency in the lexical data of the both Testaments.In sum, if you have a printed Bible in the original languages and would like to have access to a comprehensive concordance with dictionaries, this is worth beyond its low price.

By wijola I got what I was looking for in that this is a bible with words hyperlinked to the dictionary and concordance. Strongs is super useful. What I hadn't realized is that the books themselves are not linked in a table of contents, so you are stuck choosing a testment and flipping book to book. It therefore becomes much less useful if you need, say, the book of Revelations than if you need Matthew 1:1.

It covers all the basics of the language, but more just as a list of facts. If you know anything about C++ this book won't teach you much new. If you don't know anything about the language, I can't imagine trying to learn it from this. At best it's an OK reference or quick refresher.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. such a small package yet = great knowledge By Denis Wallers I found the book extremely informative and insightful, and it doesn't matter if you are a beginner/novice or you already know a thing or two about programming, this is going to be a welcome edition to your collection as it is well written, structured, and executed in such a fashion that it literally is going to save you money from being spent on "basics" courses and introduction to the world of programming, as it covers all that is needed in such a small package as this one. Spending just a few dollars for the knowledge you gain in return is hell of a bragin in my opinion.

This might be the reason I do not try out other things-things which I see as exhausting and challenging. But with this book, I realized that there are things, such as Programming, that are not what I thought they are. C ++ was a jargon to me, I had totally no idea what it is, how it is made, etc. And so when I tried this book, I got to realize that i was just too afraid to get out of my comfort zone and that this is actually fun and engaging.

Excerpt from The Evolution of ClimateGeologist very early in the history of their science, in fact as soon as fossils began to be examined, found indisputable evidence of great variations in climate. The vegetation which resulted in the coal measures could have grown only in a sub-tropical climate, while over these are vast remains of ice-worn boulders and scratched rocks which obviously have been left by ice existing under polar conditions. Such records were not found only in one region, but cropped up in juxtaposition in many parts of the world. Remains of sub-tropical vegetation were found in Spitzbergen, and remains of an extensive ice-sheet moving at sea-level from the south were clearly recognized in central and northern India. At first it was simply noticed that the older fossils generally indicated a warmer climate, and it was considered that the early climate of a globe cooling from the molten state would be warm and moist, and so account for the observed conditions. It was recognized that the ice remains were relatively recent, and so far as a cause for the Ice Age was sought it was considered that astronomical changes would be sufficient.It was only when geologists began to find records of ice ages far anterior to the Carboniferous Age, and astronomers proved by incontrovertible observations and calculations that changes in the earth's orbit, or its inclination to that orbit, could not account for the ice ages, that the importance and inexplicability of the geological evidence for changes of climate came to be clearly recognized.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. About the Author Bonnie F. Fremgen is a former associate dean of the Allied Health Program at Robert Morris College. She has taught medical law and ethics courses as well as clinical and administrative topics. In addition, she has served as an advisor for students’ career planning. She has broad interests and experiences in the health care field, including hospitals, nursing homes, and physicians’ offices.

Dr. Fremgen holds a nursing degree as well as a master’s in health care administration. She received her PhD from the College of Education at the University of Illinois. She has performed postdoctoral studies in Medical Law at Loyola University Law School in Chicago. She has authored five textbooks with Pearson.

 

Suzanne S. Frucht is an Associate Professor Emeritus of Anatomy and Physiology at Northwest Missouri State University (NWMSU). She holds baccalaureate degrees in biological sciences and physical therapy from Indiana University, an MS in biological sciences at NWMSU, and a PhD in molecular biology and biochemistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

For 14 years she worked full-time as a physical therapist in various health care settings, including acute care hospitals, extended care facilities, and home health. Based on her educational and clinical experience she was invited to teach medical terminology part-time in 1988 and became a full-time faculty member three years later as she discovered her love for the challenge of teaching. She taught a variety of courses including medical terminology, human anatomy, human physiology, and animal anatomy and physiology. She received the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2003. After retiring from teaching in 2008, she continues to be active in student learning through teaching medical terminology as an online course and writing medical terminology texts and anatomy and physiology laboratory manuals.

About the Author Kate Fitzpatrick-Harnish, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Music Education at the University of Michigan. She has published and presented nationally and internationally on the topic of urban music education. An avid supporter of public school music programs, Fitzpatrick-Harnish is the former director of instrumental music at Northland High School in Columbus, Ohio, where she directed the district's largest band and orchestra program. Fitzpatrick-Harnish was the recipient of the 2003 God and Country Award, presented by the Salvation Army and the Brass Band of Columbus for her "outstanding, sensitive leadership of young people."
