About the Author Michele Anna Jordan has written nearly twenty books about food, including the highly acclaimed Vinaigrettes and Other Dressings and More Than Meatballs. She has received numerous awards, including a James Beard Award, for her writing, her radio show, and her work as a chef. Today, she writes for the Santa Rosa Press Democrat and also produces and hosts Mouthful, the Wine Country’s Most Delicious Hour on KRCB-FM. She resides in San Francisco, California.

By nanner i have loved, enjoyed and used this book in its first edition for decades. love tomatoes. love her writing. when i first moved away from sonoma county i would read it just to quell my homesickness. a classic gift for the newbies and dedicated veterans of the garden and kitchen. highly recommend it.

Michele Anna Jordan is a terrific writer and cook, she highlights both these talents in the new version of The Good Cook's Book of Tomatoes. I can't wait to get copies for all my tomato loving friends.

Rose Michele Anna Jordan has the ability to cover a single ingredient in depth and create recipes, a lot of recipes that celebrate the foodstuff without making a cliche out of it. In "Tomatoes" she presents us with exquisite recipes that celebrate the old time, comfort foods in a solid and secure way. She also gives us some new and adventurous dishes to try, ones that no doubt will become favored summer classics as time goes by. A great little book for tomato junkies, young and old.
