About the Author Now at the beginning of her tenth decade, author Eleanor Jessup Stevenson has been a lifelong resident of southern New Jersey. She grew up on a farm and developed her interests in creatures and plants as a young child. She spent her working years as an elementary school teacher and tried very hard never to miss the “teachable moment”. This book is the result of such a moment. She and her husband had three children, 4 grandchildren and currently 6 great-grand children to whom the book is dedicated. My 5 and 3 year old daughters loved learning about how birds make their own nests, lay eggs, feed baby birds and how baby birds learn to fly. The images are colorful, beautiful and eye catching. Children and adults alike are sure to enjoy the book!
